Fraser Ballantyne, Twitter @Frasergb , Chris Qiu Twitter @ChrisQiu11, and Oliver Hanson Twitter @OliverHanson, and Carmen Cho three @NPAVancouver Vancouver school board candidates have joined their fellow @NPAVancouver Vancouver school board candidate @RichardsonYVR and all five support ADHD students in BC schools.
And all will ask BC Education Minister Rob Fleming to follow through on his promise to ADHD students in BC to add ADHD as a stand-alone category in special education so ADHD students can get accommodations and IEP’s (Individual Education Programs.) #IEPsForADHD
I hope other school board Trustees in Vancouver will follow your leads and commit to asking BC Education Minister Rob Fleming when he will fulfil his promise to ADHD students add ADHD as a stand-alone category in special education that he made more than 10 months ago (December 4th, 2017).
Here are the tweets.
Carmen Cho emailed me confirming she supported ADHD students and will ask for #IEPsForADHD. Thanks, Carmen.
@Frasergb if reelected, would you follow the example of your @NPAVancouver colleague @RichardsonYVR and commit to asking min Fleming when he’ll fulfil his promise to add #ADHD as a category in special ed so ADHD students get #IEPsForADHD ? https://t.co/9Gjt2dkbfT #bced #vanpoli pic.twitter.com/hF3Ig8Fvp0

Pete, u r spot on. These grey area #ADHD kids r vulnerable & need a specific designation for extra support. @ChrisQiu11 @RichardsonYVR @OliverHanson @Frasergb will push MoE for enhanced support in this area. @NPAVancouver @VSB39 https://t.co/ZVRMHb257C

If you see any other political parties or independent school board candidates who have any policies on the biggest number of students with special needs, ADHD in their platform, please thank them and send me that information so I can post it online. Always important to reward good behaviour on ADHD because it is so rare by politicians
